Rebel London with the PG Zoo

Paul, Abby and Elinor hit the road to London to assist on Peter Gray’s session team, opening this year’s L’Oreal Colour Trophy Grand Final. Working with people from across the world (Japan, Germany, Zimbabwe, USA and of course the UK) the team helped create fantastical headpieces inspired by the natural world and space.

With little sleep, the self-proclaimed PG Zoo straightened, cut, sprayed, tied, hammered and drilled their way through hundreds of packs of hair extensions. When 10 am struck, it was time to head across London, arriving at London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel with the creations carefully hidden or disguised. By lunchtime the models had arrived and were trialling the bespoke headgear crafted especially for them.

The two hours before the show began were so intense. Making sure the models were prepped, made up, clothed and fixed tightly into their headpieces was so exciting. My adrenalin was still pumping the next day! – Elinor
